In certain situations, UV light can be used to clean surfaces, but it wasn’t the right fit for the Dental Pod.

The Dental Pod focuses on ultrasonic cavitation, which uses microscopic bubbles to help loosen plaque, buildup, and debris from surfaces and crevices. When paired with Ultrasonic Boosting Tablets, the cleaning process is enhanced for a more thorough clean.

UV also requires specific design considerations to work effectively, which would reduce the space and performance of the ultrasonic cleaning process.
